12/26/08 Trampled By Turtles @ The Cabooze
As a slightly belated Christmas present to the Twin Cities, scene darlings Trampled By Turtles lit up the all jacked up Cabooze & all its contents like a rabid bull in a china shop during a riot. This festive get-together was billed as a “Holiday Hangover Party”.

We arrived at this totally sold
out show (1150 pre-sales!) late around midnight, which meant the energy
was way high & the crowd was subsequently peakingly imbibed.
Finding a dancing spot that was comfy for me was nevertheless a
challenge but easily worth the musical reward of TBT.

In this 2nd set, the Turtles scorched through many of their best songs including “Burn for Free”, “The Ballad of Jesse James” as well as some of their latest record “Duluth”, which is their 5th album & was released in the fall (08) to immense praise & acclaim.
Now that record is climbing the Billboard charts & the boys are going out to tour hard & get the freaking music out to their evergrowing base of fans gaining new ones all the while. You gotta strike it when it’s hot. I’m more than happy for them. Go get ‘em!
